I am usually not one to review products that I have recently received, being that everything is great for the first three weeks, THEN we see about how long it lasts, etc etc, but I thought I’d be the first to review this product because it worked well, and shows no signs of failing, even after an initial “good workout.”
I have about an acre of assorted flora, including many bamboo plants, which are a pain to dig up and transplant ’cause they’re tough-REAL TOUGH-to dig up. I have an assortment of axes, hatchets, tree saws, pry bars, etc, etc, for the task; and while I have used all those tools with some degree of success, I thought would try the “root slayer” for “artillery support”.
The handle is short but strong, and has shows signs of bending, cracking or breaking after an afternoon of digging around in the “back 40”. I look forward to separating lots of the overgrown bamboo, as it as it seems to slice fairly effortlessly thru one or two strands/roots.
(Grab the axe for the heavier thicker strands).
Overall, I consider this an excellent addition to my “arsenal”. I will write another review if, through further use, I find out otherwise.
